NEWBORN SHOOTING

Photographing newborn babies is best done within the first 5-14 days of life. During this time, the little ones still have a so-called nest protection and are almost impossible to disturb.

They sleep most of the time, which makes my job much easier. My home studio is heated to a cozy warmth so that the little ones don't get cold. Therefore, parents should also consider dressing a bit more lightly, otherwise they may start sweating.

At the beginning, the babies are undressed except for their diaper, wrapped in a cozy blanket, and allowed to cuddle with mom or dad or even breastfeed.

When the little ones are fast asleep, I come into play.

The parents can make themselves comfortable and marvel.

I work with many different backgrounds, blankets, bowls, baskets, chairs, and anything else you can imagine. All accessories are available in my studio. That means I have hats, cocoons, headbands, hearts, and bears. 

On average, I photograph for two to three hours. Since I aim to provide parents with a nice selection of pictures of their offspring, I take my time for the shooting.
